Blue Skies by Ali
After 5 consecutive years of bringing you all Ali’s A/L edits, this was our first year we didn’t launch it before Christmas, why you ask? We decided to save it to celebrate 2022 in style and really see in the NY and then… things got a little sad, a little hectic and a little bit heavy.
We decided that we needed to ‘pivot’ (wow… who else is sick of that word after two long years of living through a pandemic), so instead we brought you our #ISOLOVE because at that moment in time, our community needed us and for us, there’s nothing more important than that. We knew what you and your loved ones were going through because we’re so much more than just a clothing brand. We were right there with you, feeling all those same emotions.
So, what that meant for Ali’s A/L? It got moved out to the 18th of Jan. We felt like that date had a nice ring to it… well not exactly but it was the first day Ali and her family returned from their country getaway and well… honestly, we just couldn’t possibly launch this without her!!
Suddenly, the collection name ‘Annual Leave Edit’ felt a little odd off the back of what so many of us are living through. Sure, we know there could be a lot of you who have fitted in a slightly (anxious) getaway while others may have had cancelled trips and in some unfortunate circumstances, families having to part as someone got ‘stuck’ while trying to return home.
So, Ali jumped on teams to meet with #TeamFandN and with the most incredible and positive energy, renamed her Annual Leave Edit to ‘Blue Skies by Ali’. While it was hard to change such a fun on going tradition, Ali thought… this name brings hope and positivity for a slightly better start to 2022 in mind.
It means even more blue skies and brighter days, time spent outdoors and by the waterside. Effortless looks that might still encourage us to book that cocktail with a bestie or venture down to the rocks by the water. It brought smiles and hope to the team… and now we want to bring it to you, #FandNFam.
