It wouldn’t be Christmas here at F&N HQ without the lovely Wendy Sue’s delicious holiday treats!

Every Christmas our dear friend Wendy Sue brings in her Magic Slice for the team to enjoy and trust us when we say it is INCREDIBLE!

This year she has kindly let us in on her top-secret recipe and baked them together with team F&N!

Wendy's Magic Slice

Ingredients

• 1 ½ Cups of crushed Granita biscuits
• 75g of butter
• 1 Cup of chocolate bits
• 1 Cup of desiccated coconut
• 1 Cup of pecans chopped
• 1 Cup of dried cranberries
• 1 Can of condensed milk

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius
2. Grease and line a lamington pan
3. Combine the biscuits and butter
4. Press biscuit and butter mixture into the pan to form the base
5. Sprinkle chocolate bits, cranberries, coconut and pecans over the top
6. Pour condensed milk over the top
7. Bake for 25 mins or until the top is a golden-brown colour

*Note: Wendy has added Cranberries for a Christmas touch however you can change out the dried fruit pieces to suit your tastes!

Florentines

Ingredients

• 1 Can of condensed milk
• 1 Cup of sultanas
• 3/4 Cup of cherries
• 2 ½ Cups of cornflakes
• 100g of slivered almonds
• 250g of chocolate

Method

1. Combine all ingredients apart from the chocolate together in a bowl
2. Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking tray, leaving enough room between each spoonful for the mixture to spread
3. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown
4. Melt 250g of chocolate and spread on the underside of each biscuit
5. Use a fork to make wiggly lines of chocolate over the top of the biscuits
6. Place the Florentines chocolate side up on a wire rack until set
